Resources
Links to my favorite resources, which are particularly useful for the “deconstruction” method discussed here.
Google News: Every search starts with Google, but the news search can be handy for horse racing. Varying quality of the articles that come up, but major outlets are usually reliable.
Bloodhorse: Good quality race previews, usually rich with trainer/owner quotes.
Racetrack websites: NYRA.com might be the best, but all of the major circuits have decent websites. You’d be surprised at the depth of so-called “insider” information that you can get here. Just google the track name.
Louisville Courier-Journal & Lexington Herald-Leader: It’s the state sport and the state industry.
Equibase: The free information is great — charts galore.
NY Times and Daily Racing Form: Great sources for news and race coverage, but both are behind paywalls.
